Opening for Grammy winning jazz legend, Poncho Sanchez

On January 13, 2024 I had the opportunity to open for Grammy winner & legendary jazz musician, Pancho Sanchez, at the Music Box in San Diego to kick 2024 off right! I decided to bring back my band named: Gaby & La Buena Onda to showcase all of the amazing musicians (and friends) that help create the positive & infectious energy we emit. And it’s just fun to use the name for promo :-D

My trio, consisting of Luke Henning on bass and Matt Bozzone on drums, really brought the energy and started the night out with a high. Fans were singing along to a new song, soon to be released - “Hoy”, and I really took the time to savor every moment up there. I scanned the crowd on every floor, and I caught glances with a few new fans. What a blessing!!

Overall it was a huge success and I think it showed with fans coming to the merch table to chat, exchange hug, pick up some new music, shirts and artwork … all to savor the moments after the night ends.

My heart was full and I am so grateful. ¡Muy agradecida!
