Recording a couple of songs at Pacific Beat Recording
Taylin Rae & Alan Sanderson are a couple of the most humble, hard working, talented AF music friends that I know in San Diego. I met Alan in 2014 when he would frequent the Turquoise Cafe – a place where Kimo Shim and I had a weekly Friday night residency for a few years. After a long day of recording, Alan would walk a block from his studio and pop in for a beer and to listen to local music. He just dug our sound and liked the songs, and one day we met and we’ve been fast friends since. He went on to record/produce my 2019 San Diego Music Award nominated album, La Bella Vita, and we’ve been discussing another live recording project for quite some time.
This day, Taylin offered some studio time to female songwriters to give back to the community. I was grateful to record a couple of songs as rough demos, and got to reconnect with two of my favorite folks. As the sign says in his studio, “It’s all about the vibe”… and when you record with Alan, it sure is all about the good vibes.
